A French court has sentenced a woman to five years in jail, three years of which are suspended, for keeping her baby girl hidden in the maggot-infested boot of her car for 23 months. She has been charged with negligence causing mental disability. The infant was discovered by a mechanic in 2013 after the woman took her car for repair.
