Fugitive jeweller Nirav Modi, who was arrested and presented in UK's Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, said he's working in London for a monthly salary of ₹18 lakh (20,000 pounds). He said he arrived in the UK in January 2018, before he was accused of ₹14,000-crore PNB scam. The 48-year-old also offered to pay ₹4.5 crore (500,000 pounds) for bail.
