'World's oldest' preserved brain found in 319-million-year-old fish fossil, pic released

The CT-scanned skull of a 319-million-year-old fossilised fish, pulled from a coal mine in England over a century ago, has revealed the oldest example of a well-preserved vertebrate brain, said scientists. The skull contained a brain and nerves at the back of the brain that are roughly one inch long. Scientists believe the creature would have been 6-8 inches long.
