Bangladesh overtakes India in terms of per capita income in FY21: Report

Bangladesh has overtaken India in terms of per capita income, a report said. Planning Minister of Bangladesh MA Mannan said the country's per capita income stood at $2,227 in 2020-21, a 9% rise from 2019-20. Meanwhile, India's per capita income in 2020-21 was reportedly $1,947. Per capita income is the average income earned per person in a geographical region.
