Govt issues statement after foreign celebrities tweet on farmers' protest

The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement after several foreign celebrities including Rihanna tweeted on farmers' protest. "Before rushing to comment...we would urge that the facts be ascertained," the statement read. "The temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities...is neither accurate nor responsible," it added.
