In a first, Army deploys women soldiers along LoC in Kashmir

For the first time, the Indian Army has deployed women soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir on national security duty. These women soldiers are from the Assam Rifles and have entered the Indian Army on deputation, according to reports. They are deployed at Sadhana Top at an altitude of 10,000 feet.
