India reports 13,154 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, 43% higher than yesterday

India has reported 13,154 new COVID-19 cases and 268 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health. This comes a day after the country reported 9,195 cases and 302 deaths. There are 82,402 active cases in the country. A total of 961 Omicron cases have been reported in 22 states and Union Territories so far.
