India reports 39,070 COVID-19 cases, 52% new cases from Kerala

India has reported 39,070 new COVID-19 cases and 491 deaths in the last 24 hours. Kerala accounted for over 52% of the new cases in India as the state reported 20,367 cases on Saturday. With this, India's total COVID-19 cases reached 3,19,34,455, while the death toll surged to 4,27,862. The country's active caseload currently stands at 4,06,822.
