Made a mistake, but there's no communal motive: Teacher on making students slap boy

Tripta Tyagi, the teacher who asked students to slap a Muslim boy inside a classroom in Uttar Pradesh, released a video message saying, "I accept with folded hands that I made a mistake." Tyagi claimed she didn't have a "Hindu-Muslim motive". "The children hadn't done their homework and my intention was to ensure that they memorise (the lessons)," she added.
