Sikkim Democratic Front won two thirds majority in the Assembly elections, winning 22 of the 32 seats with a vote share of 55%. Notably, this is the fifth consecutive victory of Pawan Chamling’s party, who is ruling the state since Dec 12, 1994. The SDF also won the lone Lok Sabha seat of the state.
