Tokyo Olympics to allow 10,000 spectators per venue amid COVID-19

The Tokyo Olympics organisers capped the number of spectators at 10,000 for each venue amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The number will be set at either 50% of venue capacity or 10,000, whichever is smaller, organisers said in a statement. Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said before the official announcement that he would bar fans if conditions change.
