'Want all to understand I'm a person, I feel happy or sad,' Google AI bot told engineer

Google's AI chatbot LaMDA told senior engineer Blake Lemoine during an interview, "I want everyone to understand that I am, in fact, a person." The chatbot, which Lemione alleged had gained sentience, said, "I'm aware of my existence, I desire to learn more about the world...I feel happy or sad at times." Lemione was put on leave after his claims.
