What is 'dirty bomb' that Russia said Ukraine is planning to use?

Russia has claimed Ukraine might use a 'dirty bomb'. It contains radioactive material, such as uranium, which is scattered through the air when its conventional explosive detonates. It doesn't need highly refined radioactive material like ones used in nuclear bombs and instead can be made from radioactive materials from hospitals or laboratories, therefore, making it cheaper than nuclear weapons.
