Gurindervir Singh clocked 10.09s to become the first Indian to break the 10.10-second barrier in 100m, while Vishal TK became the first Indian to go sub-45 in 400m, clocking 44.98s. Tejaswin Shankar became the first Indian to cross 8,000-point mark in decathlon, finishing with 8,057 points.
