The Maharashtra forest department has increased patrolling and is spreading awareness to avert man-animal conflicts after a hyena attacked two villagers in Pune district on Monday. The hyena was found dead later after being hit by a vehicle. Posters are being distributed to households on ways to deal with man-animal conflicts, an official said.
