Pictures of damages caused by derailment of 12 coaches of Guwahati-Bikaner Express in West Bengal have surfaced online. Indian Railways confirmed that three people have died and 20 people have been injured. The Railways further announced a compensation of ₹5 lakh for the families of those deceased, ₹1 lakh for those severely injured and ₹25,000 for those with minor injuries.
