Tennessee lawmakers on Tuesday approved a bill permitting teachers to carry concealed handguns at school. The bill passed 68-28 in the Republican-controlled Tennessee House, following earlier approval by the state's Senate. Debate over gun laws intensified in Tennessee after a shooting at a Nashville school last year resulted in the deaths of three children and three adult staffers.
