Online betting platform 'FairPlay' was sued by Viacom18 for unlawfully streaming IPL 2023. Viacom18 suffered crores of loss as its Jio Cinema had obtained exclusive IPL broadcasting rights for 2023-2027 for ₹23,758 crore. FairPlay is a subsidiary app of the Mahadev online gaming app involved in ₹6,000 crore scam. Tamannaah Bhatia, Badshah, Jacqueliene Fernandez and Sanjay Dutt promoted FairPlay.
