Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has reportedly approved changing the name of Faizabad Cantonment in UP to Ayodhya Cantonment. The proposal for the name change came from the state government after last year the Faizabad Cantt railway station was renamed Ayodhya Cantt railway station. Earlier, in 2018, the entire district had been renamed Ayodhya district.
