To reduce cholesterol levels, young people should begin screening early and limit intake of saturated fats, sugary, salty, processed and ultra-processed packaged foods, Dr Kumar Kenchappa told The Indian Express. Reducing and maintaining moderate weight can help reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol. Young people should limit smoking and alcohol use. Physical activity also helps in managing cholesterol.
