A 72-year-old Dutch man died after suffering from COVID-19 continuously for a record-breaking 613 days. The elderly man went into hospital with the bug in February 2022, but could never recover from the infection. Doctors say, his 20-month infection with high viral loads is the longest ever recorded. The man also suffered from a serious immune system condition and cancer.
