The Delhi High Court allowed wrestler Vinesh Phogat to participate in Asian Games 2026 selection trials from May 30. The court said Phogat failed to meet WFI's selection policy only because she was on maternity leave, adding motherhood cannot be a ground to exclude or marginalise female athletes. The court also called WFI’s show-cause notice to her "deplorable" and "vindictive".
