PM Narendra Modi on Saturday chaired a comprehensive meeting on COVID-19 preparedness and was briefed about the new Omicron variant. Its implications for India were discussed and PM directed officials to review plans for easing international travel restrictions "in light of the emerging new evidence", PMO said.
