Charged ₹60 for 1st case as lawyer, reveals CJI DY Chandrachud

While hearing a case concerning high enrolment fees charged by State Bar Councils, CJI DY Chandrachud revealed he got ₹60 for his first case as a lawyer in India. He said an Odia lawyer from a backward district won't be able to pay ₹42,000 for enrolment to bar councils. "You have to...hear the voices of lawyers also," he remarked.
