A dry and hot spell is expected to grip North Karnataka over the next 3-5 days, according to Dr. R.H. Patil, Nodal Officer for GKMS Unit at the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Dharwad. Citing the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Dr. Patil warns of temperatures reaching 41-42 degrees Celsius between April 23 and 26, particularly in the Kalyana Karnataka region.
