GNCAP has found safety shortcomings in two variants of Kia Carens, Honda Amaze and Mahindra Bolero Neo. Amaze and Bolero Neo had ratings of 2 and 1 star respectively, while Karens secured 3 for adult safety and an impressive 5 for child safety. To encourage safety, India launched BNCAP in 2023, where Indian agencies could test cars within country.
