NROL-91 spy satellite, belonging to US National Reconnaissance Office, government agency in charge of developing, launching and maintaining spy satellites, was launched into orbit on September 24. It was launched aboard a Delta 4 Heavy rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Spy satellites provide intelligence data to policymakers, the intelligence community and Defense Department.
