Around 2,600 citizens of Airoli Ward in Navi Mumbai hit the streets with brooms in their hands and cleaned the roads of the city. According to the participants, the purpose of the initiative was to honour the sanitation workers who clean the streets and lanes every morning. The citizens also gave a day off to all the sanitation workers.
