Scientists have found the first recorded example of a bandaged wound on an Egyptian child mummy, thought to be taken from the "Tomb of Aline". The mummy is that of a girl child, aged around four years, who died 2,000 years ago. The bandaged wound was on her foot and appeared to have been infected when she died.
