Russia test-fired 10 new Tsirkon (Zircon) hypersonic cruise missiles from a frigate, said Interfax news agency citing the Northern Fleet. Russian President Vladimir Putin hailed the weapon launch and called it a substantial step in increasing country's defence capabilities. This comes amid tensions between the US and Russia over the huge military buildup of Russian troops at the Ukrainian border.
