Penguin Random House CEO Markus Dohle resigned weeks after a US judge blocked the company's $2.2 billion acquisition of rival Simon & Schuster. Dohle resigned "at his own request and on best of mutual terms", the company said. Nihar Malaviya, President and Chief Operating Officer of Penguin Random House US, will take over as interim CEO from January 1, 2023.
