Brazil begins COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 5 to 11

Brazil has started vaccinating children aged from five to 11 against COVID-19. An eight-year-old boy was the first to get inoculated at a hospital in Sao Paulo. Last month, the country cleared the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for children. Notably, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro had earlier refused to get his 11-year-old daughter vaccinated.
