Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Dara Singh Chauhan, who resigned from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's cabinet earlier this week, formally joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) in the presence of party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on Sunday. This comes days after former UP ministers Swami Prasad Maurya and Dharam Singh Saini and five other BJP MLAs joined SP.
