A 39-year-old woman from Thane has alleged she was cheated of ₹98,000 by a man who posed as an executive from a cab company. She had booked an auto but the company sent a taxi, whose ride cost her ₹1,380. She later called a number and the fraudster made her download an app, through which he procured her banking details.
