Germany's European Affairs Minister Michael Roth said France-Australia submarine dispute was a "wake up call" for the European Union. "We cannot exclusively rely on others but must cooperate, and we've to overcome our differences [within EU] and speak with one voice," Roth added. Last week, Australia had scrapped $40 billion submarine deal with France in favour of a US deal.
