A Pune woman was cheated of ₹3.23 lakh in an online gift fraud case by a fraudster claiming to be a doctor in a foreign country, police said. The accused told her he had sent a gift but it had been seized by customs officials, police added. The woman transferred ₹3.23 lakh but never received the gift, police stated.
