A 17-year-old boy died by suicide in Ambala's Borstel jail after being charged with theft. A case was registered after Vinod Kumar who lived in Fatehabad's Bhatia colony lodged a complaint alleging that the lock of his house was broken and ₹3,000 stolen while he was out of city. Police had registered case under sections 457 and 380 of IPC.
