Centre has appointed Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi as the next Chief of Naval Staff. Vice Admiral Tripathi, who is currently the Vice Chief of Naval Staff, will take charge on April 30 after present Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar retires from service. The 60-year-old has had a long and distinguished career spanning nearly 39 years.
