"Almost 20 years. No fixed salary," said 59-year-old Kiran Pandey, who is an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker. Nearly 20 years after the introduction of ASHA, deep fault lines have emerged, like fatigue, poor work-life balance, and low compensation levels. “The government says women are safe; where are they safe? We’re being exploited in every way,” said ASHA women.
