Russia's Ministry of Defense on Monday claimed it captured Novomykhailivka village in Donetsk. Ukraine, however, denied the claim saying it was still in control of the village. Ukraine's military leadership said though Russian forces made 23 attempts to break through defensive lines in areas around Novomykhailivka, Vodyane and Urozhayne, they were contained.
