Mohammad Saleem, a Jammu and Kashmir man who avoided paying monthly maintenance to his wife Parveen Akhter and two children for 10 years, is set to lose buffalo and calf to court auction. Earlier this week, the UT administration issued notice to auction Saleem's buffalo and calf to recover the court-mandated ₹96,000 maintenance accruing over the last 10 years.
