The gaming industry is unlikely to receive any tax relief after the GST council meeting scheduled for June, Moneycontrol reported. Currently, a 28% GST is levied on the face value of online gaming bets. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this month told a group of Indian gamers that the industry doesn't require any regulations and should remain free.
