short by Shailesh / on Saturday, 25 June, 2022
The Sri Lankan government has reduced the limit on the amount of foreign currency individuals can hold from $15,000 to $10,000 as the country's forex reserves continue to deplete. The government has provided an amnesty period of 14 working days for individuals to adhere to the new limit. The move comes amid a severe economic crisis in the country.
