Delhi govt approves ₹860 cr project to tackle Najafgarh drain pollution

Delhi government has approved an ₹860 crore project to install 12 decentralised sewage treatment plants (DTSPs) for cleaning the Najafgarh drain, a major contributor to pollution in Yamuna. The plants will be set up at Kair, Kakrola, Galibpur, Jaffarpur, Shikarpur, among other places. The project cost includes construction of DTSPs and their operation and maintenance for the next 15 years.
