The US Department of Justice arrested two Chinese men for allegedly smuggling advanced Nvidia H100 and H200 chips to China. They reportedly conspired with a Hong Kong logistics firm and a China-based AI company to evade US export controls. The Nvidia labels from the chips were removed, and labels of a fake company were affixed to prepare them for export.
