SP leader Abu Asim Azmi won from Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar with a margin of 12,753 defeating AIMIM's candidate Ateeque Ahmad Khan. Meanwhile, NCP candidate Nawab Malik stood fourth in the constituency with 15,501 votes. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena candidate Suresh Patil, who was backed by BJP, stood third with 35,263 votes. "People rejected NCP leader Nawab Malik," Azmi said after win.
