Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said 60 more villages will be added to Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). "As part of promises made in the Bodo peace deal signed in January 2020...[we] decided to include villages which have at least 80% Bodo population in the BTR," he said. Sarma announced ₹5 lakh each ex-gratia to families of Bodoland agitation martyrs.
