Why did 6 districts in Nagaland see zero voting?
short by Ankush Verma / on Saturday, 20 April, 2024
Six districts in eastern Nagaland saw no polling in the wake of a "call to abstain" from elections and a total shutdown called ahead of voting day by the Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation (ENPO). ENPO is demanding the creation of Frontier Nagaland Territory from the central government. The six districts are Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Noklak, Shamator and Tuensang.
