Waris Punjab De head Amritpal Singh, currently lodged in an Assam jail under the National Security Act, will contest elections from Punjab's Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat, his legal counsel Rajdev Singh Khalsa said. "I met Amritpal Singh. He has confirmed to me he'll contest elections," Rajdev said. He added that he will contest as an Independent candidate.
