The EU parliament has approved a new regulation prohibiting the sale, import, and export of goods produced through forced labour. Member states and the European Commission will now be able to probe suspicious goods, supply chains, and manufacturers. Products identified as utilising forced labour will be barred from EU markets, including online sales, with shipments intercepted at the EU borders.
